Over het land en de stad
Taiwan is an island state in East Asia off the coast of mainland China, separated by the Taiwan Strait. A mountainous island with dense forests and a tropical south, it is also home to one of the world's most advanced economies, producing a large share of global semiconductors (TSMC and others). Taiwan is known for its night markets, as the birthplace of bubble tea, for its democratic freedoms and for its complex political history with the PRC.
