• Phewa Lake with the Taal Barahi temple on its small island is Pokhara's main place to relax — rent a boat and watch the Annapurna reflected in the water.
• The World Peace Pagoda on Anadu Hill above the lake is a white Buddhist stupa with a full panorama of the city and the Himalayas.
• Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave and Mahendra Cave are limestone caves with a Shiva shrine and an underground river next to the Devi's Fall.
• Sarangkot is a ridge village above the town, the classic spot to watch the sunrise over Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (the Fishtail).

• The International Mountain Museum tells the story of the Himalayas, climbing expeditions and the cultures of Nepal's mountain peoples — unique of its kind.
• The Gurkha Memorial and Tribal museums document the Gurung, Magar and Sherpa peoples whose traditions are inseparable from the Annapurna region.
• The mountaineering museum at the gateway of the lakeside area displays expedition photographs, equipment and stories of the first ascents of the 8,000-metre peaks.

• Paragliding from Sarangkot Hill over Phewa Lake — Pokhara is considered one of the world's best places for tandem flights with Himalayan views.
• An evening boat ride in a wooden «dunga» on Phewa Lake at sunset is the classic Pokhara experience and its most famous postcard.
• The starting point for treks in the Annapurna region: Poon Hill, the Annapurna Base Camp and Mardi Himal all begin from here.
